Beyond? words!

@Padabig60? Jan Garbarek and Jon Christensen are Norwegian.

BTW, Coltrane shone a beam of light on Jan the? day he recorded this.

I have the LP at home and the CD? at work. Can't be without at least the possibilty of playing this any time of day. I used to play the guitar myself, so am always aware of the technical prowess Towner has - without ever showing off; a true misician, not your typical fretboard wanker of which there are too many of.

@Padabig60? Garbarek is Norwegian

so? outstanding, magic - and timeless !!!

stretch-- ECM is a German company. German studios. the great German producer? Manfred Eicher. Ralph Towner- American. Jan Garbarek & Jon Christensen- Swedish. Eberhard Weber-German. ain't one gawddang Englishman in the bunch.

this is my? favourite piece of Ralph Towner.

I was given this record in 75. At that time the english studios had the best equipment and ECM in particular was producing the best sounding recordings. This record sonically and musically jumped out of my speakers. It has? stood the test of time for sure.

Nimbus - a kind of cloud? Or an air lift of sorts, one that carries? me away into the higher places of thought and muse. Wind driven and flying like a Lark at full wing, oh the stars at night they must sing. To hear such notable notes and phrases worked out in phases, like the moon on steroids bounding full tilt across the bleak horizon. Dancing hard on incredible lunar shoes. ~ Jubal

You hit hit the nail on the head with your description of this timeless masterpiece deluxe... Truly a? classic that I've been listening to for decades now.

thanks? monstromus :D

gods?

this is the music you need? to relax!

I had the opportunity? to interview Ralph. He is a pro when it comes to guitarwork but even moreso as a human.being. Funny, bright, amazing. The Fine Tuning Channel on XM aloud all genres to matriculate and be heard in an intelligent gathering of music from around the world. It was the World's Most Interesting Music. How could we get it back on the air?

Brilliant, unique and timeless.?

Brilliant,? unique and timeless.

...takes me to a place I belong, where there is sky, light, peace? of mind, deep breath and harmony in the deep field of grass where I lie, and look straight up ...watching the clouds move slowly off ....

Great material?
