Makes me laugh and that's all that matters in life really!

@UglyChileanDoorman - Thanks. After I did some lackluster research on that information, as well as for Garbo, I'm still not sure how the first two combined with the third would have made a good combination for a wife, as the "Admiral" in the song did.

who is the tall guy in the cowboy hat

The girl who plays Katharine Hepburn's little sister in "The Philadelphia Story" performs this song in the bizarre scene where Jimmy Stewart meets Hepburn and her rather eccentric family. I'd forgotten that Groucho even references one of his old characters in this song ("Capt. Spaulding exploring the Amazon").

@BambooLulu YEA IM NOT SURE WHAT IT MEANS SOMEWHERE I READ IT MEANT "BEAUTIFUL WOMAN" ..YEAAAAAA PISCES GIRLS RULE!!!

@BambooLulu WELL FROM WHAT I KNOW ITS LYDIA AND CAME FROM WEST ASIA MINOR WHICH IS NOW MODERN TURKEY AND LYDIAN WAS THE LANGUAGE THAT PPL SPOKE THERE ..BUT U SHOULD TELL PPL THAT ITS NOT WRONG!!! ITS UR NAME N U SHOULD SPELL IT HOWEVER U WANT :) !!!

@650Pisces, hey im a pisces also haha thats cool.

@650Pisces, my name is spelled Lidia also. Does our name have a meaning? Do you know why everyone else spells it with a "y"? People tell me that i spell my name wrong because it's spelled with an "I"

@cmans79tr7 Tha?s and du Barry.

haha i guess im the queen of tattoos !!!! haha but my name is spelled LIDIA because its in spanish !!! if it were with a "y" it would sound different in spanish :) i learned that "lydia" came from a wealthy ancient kingdom in west asia minor

Anyone know the first two names he mentions at :29 and :31?

@MelonHeadFilmz - There are other racey double-entenders that did survive the censors in this song. Two of them I didn't realize were double-entenders until I saw him on YT act them out on the Dick Cavett Show: "Washington crossing the Delaware" and "Up the hill comes Andrew Jackson", I had already figured out "on a clear day you can see Alcatraz."

My dear friend Jack McGann used to sing this song.

Classic.

1:04..subtly giving everyone the bird....

Lydia the tattooed lady was one of Jim Henson's favorite songs.

@TheVivvav All the Brothers could sing. Even Harpo before he gave up talkiing in the act. But in the very begaining of thier careers Harpo sang with his brothers when they did stage acts
