When Bush stepped in, we had a surplus, economic promise, and global hope. When he stepped out, we had a deficit, economic recession, and global despair.

Bush did leave a mess. Think about it, my grandfather said that Bush was the worst president that he's ever seen, and he lived through Hoover! Bush was the worst president in history, and so far Obama has done a pretty good job of restoring this nation.

True, but bush wasn't any president. He was a miserable failure, and he just nearly ruined this country. And Obama is doing his best to try and bring us up to what we were in 2000! The republicans are slaves to corporate america and the health care industry. Obama is not.

obama is doing a pretty dam good job right now with all the shit that he had to deal with. i am not saying bush left a mess, but he had no plans to help the economy. yall are also saying that all presidents have to clean up the previous one's mess, they really don't its just they have different ideals and change stuff around to fit what they think should be done

Nope... After Clinton, Bush inherited a pretty sound nation. A balanced budget and a surplus. And an economy that was still growing from the 90's economic boom.

Bush did not have to clean up after Clinton...we have to clean up after repubs.

He hasn't really been making mistakes. Every President has to clean up after the last one.

1 year into his presidency he is still blaming Bush for all his mistakes.

I agree, but even if we gauge him by what he's accomplished in one year, preventing a depression, restructuring our health care system, and repairing our image globally is a pretty good start.

Let us not judge at all. Yet let God be our judge.

Your right i did however i live in springfield illinois and couldnt get to watch his speech because i was white. I tried getting in there and was told that i couldnt so i stood around and watched them allow 4 african american families threw. I work and live here in springfield and there where more out of towners there allowed than actual residents.
