I had a song that was on BET's Honors awards posted with pics from my phone. It was removed, along with others who posted actual video. HOWEVER THERE ARE A BUTT LOAD OF OTHER POSTINGS FROM THIS SAME SHOW STILL POSTED AND NOT REMOVED. WHY? This artist was not and is not a Viacom artist.
how many law suits of corporations suing a person who downloaded 10-30 songs to pay for damages preemptively , that means there were no damages proven, other than what they could have lost from potentially 30 fkn downloads....
Understood, they lose money on music ,
although nine times out of ten,,,
they paid for that music a million times over...when the music hit the shelves. or air waves.
they are not bsing nobody!
but to make an example out of the private sector is miscarriage of law.
I think the corporate fkn rip offs need to share some of the profits with the fans.... they make way too fkn much off the talents of others, who needs more than a fkn 30 million to live off...while not giving back to the community or society.

flcfan100 was suspended for uploading content that was no longer being sold or broadcast by Viacom... If only copyright laws were reformed to remove baseless oppression (as there's no loss of profit for Viacom. The only loss of profit would be for shady bootleggers in flea markets).

They took down a remixed Mr. Bean video of mine that used about 7% of the source material aired over a local PBS station (although lots of companies are sub-licensed it). I would contest it, but the button for countering false CID matches is gone (only the formal counter for videos taken down by an actual person is there)
They took down 2 videos actually. it had many views. it was called "spongebob truth or square 3/7 and spongebob truth or square 7/7.
youtube should bann viacom from rhe site then sue them.

had a video removed today by a copyright claim by viacom, it was the intro to the beatles rock band video game, no idea if they own the rights or not but ive put in a counter claim, its bad they can flag videos for content they dony own.

They took down my video as well. I had like, ONE paragraph saying I didn't FREAKING own it, but they still TOOK it down. It was like a tribute of a cartoon character I like, wtf? It isn't even RELATED to Viacom, and I don't think the cartoon is OWNED by it. -_-. Youtube SERIOUSLY needs to look at this again, cause it's pissing me off, and making me wanna leave youtube, and i'm sure i'm not the only one. :(
They took down my Avatar The Last Airbender video...it was the finale kiss between Aang and Katara. But whats Viacom got to do with the Avatar series? unless they had something to do with the games of it that was brought out.

I just wish someone could explain to me the difference of what is "legal" or not. If a singer uploads a video of him singing a song from the radio or that "legal" If a dragqueen uploads a video of her perfoming a song on stage, is that "legal"? And how about all these videos of someone dancing around in their living room to someone elses song?
And don't get me started on all the adult videos posted on here. Are they legal?
