good cover by a heavy metal band but its still a cover.. some songs are just better left untouched such as this song, comfortably numb, stairway to heaven, beat it.. good bands can tribute to them but can never be as good..

I truly hope this ISN'T Metallica, because this blows and Metallica is quite good. Never heard them live, but this is pretty bad even to be a live performance. Not a performance by professional musicians. A bad copycat?
we can not compare the two groups that I love, but just find something else. People who judge so easily M?tallica are able to do the same. Just have an open mind different, and listen
You should not compare the cover to the original! I don't think they tried to play it the same way as dire straits did it. This is there version which we all should try to appreciate. II think that if Metallica plays someone others song it is a huge compliment for the songs original performer!
If you gonna cover a song you should make either better than the original (which is pretty rare!...), or do it in your own style (metal in this instance) and hope it works. Unfortunately both failed here. Useless I'm afraid.

I don't know why everyone has to be so negative... I mean, it's music. People do what they want with it. And sometimes, this happens. The cover wasn't bad at all. Metallica certainly wasn't at their best here... but they didn't do too badly. I still prefer the original, but when people start arguing and crap... I just don't get it. Oh well... who am I to judge anyway?
