SNES - 60 Super Nintendo Games

Gameplay video of 60 Super Nintendo SNES games (with the original music/sound). It's not necessarily a "best of SNES" list, although most of these games are good or great. 24 of these games are now available on the Wii Virtual Console, although this video was made with an actual SNES system...

Classic Game Room - RETRON 3: SNES, NES and GENESIS Game Console Review Pt1

Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room HD reviews the Hyperkin RETRON 3. Part 2 here www.youtube.com This is a video game console that plays Super Nintendo SNES, Nintendo 8-bit NES and 16-bit Sega Genesis video games. It even has S-Video (which works for Genesis and SNES) as well as standard composite video. The Retron3 comes with 2 wireless controllers which are acceptable for NES games but have poor Genesis button mapping. More importantly though, the Retron 3 allows you to play with your original controllers for Genesis, NES and SNES!! Now, that's a feature!! This CGR review of the Hyperkin Retron 3 shows gameplay from several video games including Gaiares on Genesis, Ultraman on SNES and Zanac on Nintendo Entertainment System NES. This video shows the s-video quality of the Hyperkin Retron3 compared to a modified Sega Genesis Model 1 and demonstrates the audio quality. Video quality is very impressive and audio is not bad, although it lacks some of the dynamics that the original Genesis produces. Overall performance was awesome and CGR thinks that this console should not be overlooked when shopping for replacement old school systems. Flexibility, quality and original controller compatibility make the Retron 3 a bombastic classic video game console.

Classic Game Room buys a SUPER NINTENDO SNES system

Classic Game Room HD buys a SUPER NINTENDO video game console! Can you believe it? A used SNES is now in the possession of the world's most powerful video game review show, CLASSIC SNES OWNING GAME ROOM! Now we can review all of the classics except with a "super" in front of them, like "SUPER Metroid" and "SUPER Star Wars". This console purchase was overshadowed by our recent adventure to buy a Sega Saturn, and we were excited to find a SNES at the same store for $40 with controller and power supply and wires etc... We turned it on, it works. Plays well except the game seems a bit wobbly in there. Classic Game Room reviews video games from years past and the future, although don't call us retro reviews, because we are permanently stuck in the '80s which isn't retro, it's now. We're now reviewers. We review games now. Not then, you just missed it. It's now. The SNES joins the Sega Saturn, Sega Genesis, Mega Drive MD , Sega CD, 32x, Playstation 1, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Entertainment System NES, N64 and Magnavox Odyssey 2 consoles for the awesome CGRHD show!

Earthworm Jim (SNES) Stage 1 - New Junk City

With the awful-looking PSP videos floating around, I thought I'd better make a recording of the original 16-bit version of Earthworm Jim to protect the game's integrity.

SNES Donkey Kong Country - Jungle Hijinks

When Rare announced at the end of E3 1994 that Donkey Kong Country was in fact for the SNES and not for the Ultra 64, jaws dropped. Using a tecnhique called ACM (Advanced Computer Modelling, rendering models and animating them in high end CGI machines, then turning them into 2D sprites...smart!), DKC was a mark not only in SNES history, but videogame alltogether. We were being delivered in 1994 on a 16 bit system a game that not only looked next gen, it looked like a tecnhological miracle. It not only had amazing graphics, the soundtrack by Robin Beanland, Eveline Fischer, and Dave Wise was one of the most memorable ones on the system. If youre a fan, make sure to get the OPverclocked Remix project, Kong in Concert: dkcproject.ocremix.org This was with F-Zero one of the starting SNES lineup titles for the European Wii VC. This game also debuted the Donkey Kong model as you know it now, and has since become my favorite Nintendo character. Not much else to say, really. If you missed the game at the time, make sure you do grab it now on the Wii VC, tis were truly amazing days for a video game passionate like me.

SNES Super Mario World

My first SNES game. It came with the machine, thankfully. I still remember the first time I saw that Nintendo logo came up, followed by the intro of the game. I've made this video to celebrate its re-re-released (2nd time was on GBA) On the Wii Virtual Console in the USA (Monday Feburary 5th 2007) and hope it gets released over here in Europe soon. It has been available to Japan Wii VC from lunch day!). Nothing really much to say, simply the best 2D platform game ever made, introducing Yoshi!

SNES Starfox 2

The Holy Grail of unreleased SNES prototypes. It was truly a shame this game was not released, it shows just how much diference the SFX-2 chip was in relation to the original SFX chip. It was much later that the knowledge of this near Gold cart was confirmed, being dumped and analyzwed by the ZSNES team, until it was eventualy made playable. Soon after, AGTP released a english patch to the game, that also removed the debug features (such has the onscreen FPS counter). Most of the ideas of this game were then moved to Starfox 64 / Lylat Wars and even today, as I received my Starfox Command for DS, I recognized the real time strategic map screen. I wish they would implement the transforming AR-Wings into mech thingy in future releases. Ill just have to patiently wait for the Wii version of Fox & crew next adventure. Video made it to GoNintendo: gonintendo.com Big "Heya!" to RMC from me.

SNES Sim City

The classic Sim City gets the Nintendo treatment! I love this game, and this SNES versions just gave us soo much extra stuff, it is up to this day my favorite version of the original Sim City. It is, however, really hard to put in a video why this game is soo brilliant, so I hope you enjoy the first 10 minutes of a practice city, with all the nice help from Dr Wright. There is a new version of the game comming to the DS soon, but if you have a Wii, this has been on Wii VC for quite a bit now, and its well worth those 800 Wii points.
