Ray storm part1

R-GRAY II score:28760000 over ALBION DU earth ~ PALMYRA VOLLEY earth(1~3)

RayStorm - first stage

This is a video from the first stage of RayStorm (aka Layer Section 2), part two of a 3-part shootemup series by Taito. AFAIK (some of) the people who worked on this later formed G-Rev and released Border Down and Under Defeat for Dreamcast, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. The footage is taken from the relatively unknown PC version of the game, which was released by Cyberfront in 2001 (a little late, considering the original game dated from 1996). The PC port is a straight port from the PlayStation version, up to the point where even the familiar button-layout from that console can still be seen in the menu screens. What's also stunning is that the game is running in software mode(!), allthough at 640x480, so the polygons got a slight upgrade. Quite outdated for a 2001 release, but at least the port is solid. Another thing to note about the PC version are the very loud SFX, which can clearly be heard in the video - I like :)

Raystorm (HD) - Stage 1: August 4, 2219 Albion DU Earth

Raystorm is more a outstanding Taito´s shmup with nice polygons graphics, beautiful soundtrack and a solid gameplay. A remarkable game. See me playing others stages here: www.youtube.com

Raystorm - Stage 4 Gameplay

Me playing Raystorm, a game that I loved as a kid on Playstation 1. Game is much harder than I remember, but still fun. Didn't see many videos online of it, so decided to post it so others can see how it plays. Not the best performance, but I hope you all still enjoy the show.

Antimatter Raystorm Animusic style Animated Music Video New Age by Jason Ward

Antimatter Raystorm Animated Music Video. Enjoy the visuals of stunning, vibrant animated instruments as they belt out this fusion trance / new age music in a fun and exciting way. Inspired by the amazing work and talent of my friends at Animusic. Antimatter Raystorm is my second foray into computer generated animated music videos. Once again I made use of Pawel Adamowicz's MIDI driver pyhon script to bring the music animation to life. All of these magical instruments were modeled, rigged for animation in, and rendered by Blender. Expect even more amazing animated music videos as I continue to learn more about Blender and become more familiar with MIDI Driver. Raystorm Stage 8 Gameplay + Ending Extra Mode

The final boss and ending of Raystorm for Playstation 1. Be warned, this video contains spoilers of the game's conclusion. Well, enjoy the finale to this classic title.

Raystorm (PS1)

This video was captured using the actual game and an actual Sony Playstation. Loading times have been removed for your enjoyment. This is Raystorm. One of my most sought after titles until recently acquiring it finally. I was turned onto this game after playing the first game in this series called Galactic Attack on the Sega Saturn. Galactic Attack is also known as Rayforce, Gunlock, and Layer Section depending on your region. After finding that the game had a sequal called Raystorm, I immediately had to check it out. The gameplay speaks for itself. It's a blast to play. Even though I got my ass handed to me on several occasions in this video, I loved every minute of it. This game is also available for the Playstation 2 on the Taito Legends 2 compilation. The version on the PS2 is the arcade clone which doesn't have as much slowdown and has unlimited credits like most arcade emulation compilations do. What I like about the PS1 version is that it has limited credits and even has a special Playstation version which changes up some of the enemies and adds some visual effects not seen in the original arcade to give an already great game some extra replay value. So enjoy seeing me getting my ass kicked.
