Custard - Apartment

Good ol' Dave McCormack's old band, Custard, or how I like to call them, "THE BEST GODDAMN POP BAND FROM BRISVEGAS!". I had this song on high rotation back in the day. I would have to say it's Custard's most catchy song but the music video is pretty damn weird! One take of Dave in an astronaut suit, in front of the Sydney Opera House. :P

Are you looking for an appetizing way to fill a homemade sponge cake or puffs? Here is an easy and quick recipe just for you: the chocolate custard. The chocolate custard is perfect for filling and decorating cakes or miniature pastries, but it's also excellent as a spoon dessert, perhaps served in a small cup accompanied by some cookies and wisps of whipped cream. The chocolate custard may be a great dessert to delight your guests and, when prepared with fresh and genuine ingredients, it's ideal also for decorating and filling kids' birthday cakes, who won't be able to resist it. Pour the milk and the heavy cream into a small saucepan (1). Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise, remove the seeds scraping it with a smooth blade knife and add them to the milk and cream mixture, then bring everything almost to a boil on a medium heat. Meanwhile, in another bowl beat the yolks and the sugar (2) with a whisk, then add the flour and the corn starch sifting them to avoid creating lumps (3). Blend all the ingredients well to get a smooth mixture (4), then add the hot milk and cream mixture in a thin stream to the eggs, stirring quickly (5). Pour the mixture again into the pot and bring it to a boil, stirring constantly in order to avoid lumps. Once the mixture has come to a boil and begun to thicken, remove the pot from the heat and add the chopped ...

Led Zeppelin - Custard Pie

Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in 1968 by Jimmy Page (guitar), Robert Plant (vocals), John Paul Jones (bass guitar, keyboards, mandolin) and John Bonham (drums). With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin are regarded as one of the first heavy metal bands, helping to pioneer the genre. However, the band's individualistic style drew from many sources and transcends any one genre. Their rock-infused interpretation of the blues and folk genres also incorporated rockabilly, reggae, soul, funk, classical, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, pop, Latin and country. The band did not release the popular songs from their albums as singles in the UK, as they preferred to develop the concept of "album-oriented rock". They charted ten singles in the US. Close to 30 years after disbanding following Bonham's death in 1980, the band continues to be held in high regard for their artistic achievements, commercial success, and broad influence. The band has sold an estimated 200 million albums worldwide, including 111.5 million certified units in the United States and they have had all of their original studio albums reach the top 10 of the Billboard album chart in the US, with six reaching the number one spot. Led Zeppelin are ranked #1 on VH1's 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. Rolling Stone magazine has described Led Zeppelin as "the heaviest band of all time", "the biggest band of the '70s" and "unquestionably one of the most enduring bands in rock history ...

Zabaione ( liquid egg custard ) original Italian recipe

The zabaione is the most classic and simple custard in Italy: it's usually served in a cup and accompanied by dry biscuits, or it can be used to make other desserts. *** Hi everyone and welcome to the GialloZafferano kitchen, today we'll be preparing together a classic Italian custard: the zabaione. It's a delicate, liquid custard made from eggs and flavoured with fortified wine, such as marsala, vermouth or moscato. Let's see together what we need to make the zabaione: ? 8 tbsp (100 ml) of fortified wine, I've chosen the moscato ? 8 tbsp (160 g) of sugar ? 8 yolks Let's make together the zabaione. First of all, separate the egg whites from the yolks, since we'll use only the yolks. Then put them in a pan, if you have it use a pan like this, with a round bottom, otherwise you can use any other you have at home... add the sugar and whisk everything with a beater until you have a fluffy thick cream... then we'll add the chosen liqueur. Here we are, as you can see the mixture is white and foamy, so we can add the chosen wine in a thin stream. After adding the fortified wine, place the pan into a slightly larger pan filled with boiling water. The smaller pan must not touch the water and the water shouldn't boil anymore. Then whisk the mixture for at least 10 minutes more. Our zabaione is ready to be tasted alone, or you can use it to make an excellent tiramisu. From Sonia and Giallozafferano, bye bye and see you next videorecipe.
