 | Bakso 101 - Meatball noodle soup is very popular in Indonesia. It's a simple vegetable broth clear soup with egg noodles and all beef meatballs. Indonesian meatball is quite different with the traditional Italian (or North American) meatballs. The sought-after texture is tender, springy, bouncy, and juicy. Somewhat similar to sausages. This is the simplest meatball recipe that I have perfected throughout several trials and errors. All the ingredients are readily available and there is no need for any special machines. You will only need a food processor or a blender. I like a little more 'bite' in my meatball texture, but feel free to grind the meat to a paste in a food processor for a smoother texture. My test subject *my husband :)* gave his stamp of approval while scooping his second (or third?) helping. These meatballs freeze wonderfully and last quite a while. Microwave the (dried) noodles and frozen meatballs in the soup broth for 4 mins, and you are good to go, perfect for someone who is always on the go. This recipe work with any kind of meats you prefer, I have tried mixing beef and chicken, beef and lamb, just lamb - although I havent tried this with seafood. Strain the soup for a cleaner feel. I happen to love mine with tiny bits of veggies :) Good luck and thanks for watching!
